- Can you tell us something about you and your family background and your early schooling?
A- I was born and bought up in Bokaro, Jharkhand. My father owns a small grocery shop and my mother is homemaker. I have two siblings, both younger to me and are studying. I had completed my matriculation from ARS Public School (CBSE affiliated) with CGPA of 9.2. After that, though I was eligible for various good colleges and schools, I had to choose government college as my father was seriously ill and being eldest, I had to manage the shop and my studies simultaneously. But he got recovered after a year and my studies continued.
- What were the challenges that you faced in early life/before college?
A- The problem was mostly financially like even after qualifying for several other colleges I couldn’t take admission there since it would had been very tough for my parents and now I’m glad that I chose BIT among all the other options.
- How is your experience at college?
A- It is really wonderful, at least till the pandemic. I participated in various extracurricular activities like acting and dance which I always wanted to do but since I was very shy till class 10th and after that, I went to school which doesn’t have any annual function. In a nutshell, my college life is pretty much summed up with academics and arts.
- What makes you different from your batch mates?
A- My confidence and versatility make me unique from other. I believe in being Jack in all and Master in one.
Q- Why do you need laptop support?
A- From my early days in college, I needed a laptop. Because I always wanted to participate in the technical competition but to make a presentation without a laptop is very challenging. Now, I’m using it to learn programming languages like Python and Django.
Q- From where did you get to know about Anant Prayas?
A- We got information about the organization through official college WhatsApp group.
Q- How did you applied to it and got selected?
A- I filled the Google form and after various exchanges of information, I got selected.
Q- What was it like to get selected for the Anant Prayas laptop financing project?
A- It is really wonderful because I was very stressed about buying a laptop and it was very unlikely to happen since my parents can’t afford one now.
Q- Now that you have laptop, how has your life changed?
A- In just 3 weeks I got good command over Python. I got 3 stars in Hackerrank and I got 1 question correct in Codevita. I don’t see any of these coming if I didn’t have the laptop.
Q- What you would like to say about this initiative by Anant Prayas and how you will contribute to this initiative?

And I think generosity always makes a person better since it will give love and respect which nobody can get even by earning millions.
